Here is a little look at rates of reaction and the scientific key words you should be using. When talking about increasing temperature the key word is kinetic energy. If you’re looking at concentrations 2M is a higher concentration than 0.5M because there more particles in the same volume. Also, what about surface area: the smaller the pieces (like powder) the more surfaces. Let’s not forget about catalysts. They are chemicals that lower the activation energy to speed up chemical reactions.

This is a continuing of part 1. We’re looking in more detail about genetics and genetic diagrams. You really need to try and get some information and pictures up ahead of time. I suggest you get up information from BBC Bitesize about genetic inheritance, cystic fibrosis, and polydactyly. I also suggest doing all the possible genetic diagrams for the two inherited disorders that we look at. Practice makes perfect!

A little break from curriculum so you guys can focus on what your intent is. Have you let the situation that we are in disrupt your daily habits or have you been the disruptor and take hold of your time and your life. I believe that change and building habits has to come from within but proper planning and scheduling of your time is a huge part in being productive. The more productive you can be the more motivated you’ll be to reach your goals. I think waking up with intention and an idea of what to tackle is key to your success. Start with small steps. Build positive daily habits and soon they will become routine! Get out there! Get intentional!

Here we take a look at the difference between asexual and sexual reproduction. Liking this topic with mitosis which was seen earlier (Biology paper 1) is your key to strengthening your long term memory. Try doing a comparison table between mitosis and meiosis after listening. We also focus our attention on some key scientific words and visualise where they are in a cell. Part 2 will be released shortly. If you have any requests please let me know.
